Our Vision
The US Drowning Research Alliance (USDRA) is the United States’ premier network dedicated to drowning prevention and water safety research. Comprising a wide array of members, from large national organizations to smaller, community-based groups, the USDRA works across the nation to enhance water safety and prevent drowning incidents.
Our members include leading safety and health organizations, lifesaving societies, local community initiatives, and diverse groups committed to reducing drowning through research, education, and policy advocacy.
The USDRA is a crucial collaborative body, uniting experts and stakeholders in a mission to save lives and improve water safety outcomes. Like its global counterparts, the USDRA shares knowledge and strategies, but it uniquely integrates research with practical interventions and public education campaigns, directly engaging with communities most affected by drowning.
As a dynamic and inclusive network, we champion change by fostering trust and cooperation among our partners.
